Transform an ugly wall or fence and maximise your growing space with a vertical garden. Here are some top tips on how to create your own ‘living walls’ at home. 

Camouflage with a climber 
If you don’t want the maintenance of multiple plants, then invest in a single climbing plant. There are plenty of vigorous varieties that will cover a good amount of space in no time. Fragrant varieties can add a new dimension to your outdoor space, so awaken the senses with firm favourites, such as jasmine, honeysuckle, scented roses, buddleia or even a wisteria.

Get creative with hanging planters
