Basil
Easy to grow and versatile, Basil is a great staple for your kitchen garden, useful for cookery, salads and cocktails alike. There are many different varieties, including the sweet basil that you tend to see in supermarkets. Sow basil seeds throughout spring and summer for a continuous crop and harvest by snipping off leaves with scissors, as needed.
